BEVIN BOYS

by Jaye Swift

In 1943, at the height of World War II, the first of over 48,000 young men were conscripted to work in the coal mines. Their work was vital to the British war effort, but it was incredibly dangerous. And they largely went unrecognised.

This outstanding new drama tells their story through the eyes of Hardesty King, an 18year old boy working in the South Wales coal fields.
